Welcome to the AAVac Home Center!

OUR TEAM

Larry Moritz: is the founder and operated the AAVac Center for the last 29 years and is now in the transition of handing down his business to his son Adam but still maintains a vital connection to it’s daily operation. Larry grew up on a wheat farm on the edge of Spearville, Kansas, with a population of 700 just 17 miles West of Dodge City. Being a farm kid he began his working career at age 6 and was taught a tremendous work ethic and small town honesty a tradition he instilled on to his son Adam. Larry began his Vacuum Cleaner Journey in 1981 selling Kirby Vacuums door-to-door as a dealer and worked his way up to having a successful Kirby Area Distributorship Office in Liberal Kansas. In 1986 he and his wife Grace, along with their three children, decided to follow his Mother-in-Law to the Ozarks after seeing how beautiful it was here and settled on 30 acres in McDonald County, Missouri. Still staying in the door-to-door Kirby Vacuum business but as a dealer once again he began working NWA. Then Larry decided on a new career in 1988 when he seen a new opportunity and bought Kressel’s Vacuum Repair Center. In 2003 foreseeing the need to entirely revamp his business operation niche Larry spent the next two years completely gutting the old store and totally remodeling it himself, doing so all the while remaining open for business. In 2005 after completing the remodel he changed the name to the AAVac Center to reflect the change to being part of the new cutting edge in the Vacuum Cleaner Industry and began focusing on selling what is considered the best vacuums you can buy. Growth continued in 2013 when Larry bought out Kent’s Vacuum his competition for many years in Rogers and again in 2015 when he became the new Oreck Dealer for the area when the Fayetteville Oreck Store closed. Although Larry says we now specializes in the higher quality vacuums such as Miele AAVac is just at home dealing with your Dyson, Shark and Hoover type vacuums.

Adam Moritz: Adam began his career at the AAVac Center at age 17 helping out with the massive Power Wheel recall of 1999 and was able to pay for his first car. He then spent several years running the store every other Saturday to give his Dad some time off until we changed our hours to the 4 day work week, Adam is now the new owner taking over the family business and hopes to hand over the store to his son, so maintaining our impeccable reputation is very important tradition we hope to maintain for decades.
